Iron County Register, Ironton, Missouri, Feb. 21, 1884 "Pilot Knob Items" column:
Mrs. Eaves, wife of William Eaves, the railroad's car carpenter, at the Knob, died Monday, of consumption. The body was taken to Farmington for burial, by the aid of the A.O.U.W., of which Mr. Eaves is a member.

Last Thursday night a man named Eaton was run over by the cars near Mill Spring, and his body was literally torn to pieces. He had been attending a dance in the neighborhood, and taken in a little too much whisky, and then on his way home, had lain down on the track to sleep. Eaton was a blacksmith, and was employed by Mr. Wm. Crommer.

DIED--At the residence of Wm. Rieke, Ironton, Mo., Wednesday, October 26th, 1892, at 4:30 A.M., Mrs. HENRIETTA EBRECHT, relict of the late Charles Ebrecht, aged 64 years, 11 months, and 18 days. The funeral occurred from the residence of Mr. Rieke Saturday afternoon and the remains were interred in the Middlebrook cemetery, whither they were followed by a large concourse of relatives and sympathizing friends.
